LICENSING
What you license,
and what it covers.
A summary of how each product is licensed. Telamin is working with early adopters and design partners, and our standard terms are being written alongside those engagements: where a term is not yet published, we agree it with you individually.
BUILD VERSUS RUN
You license generation.
Not every event.
Once a processor has been generated ahead of time and built, running it needs no generation credits and no connection to Telamin. You pay for generation, commercial rights and support, never per event.
Interpreted and in-process development modes send requests to the hosted compiler, and the runtime has its own licence terms.
For technical details of hosted generation and customer-controlled execution, see Deployment and data flows. Applicable rights remain governed by the licence terms.
SEPARATE RIGHTS
Rights that sound alike
are stated separately.
“The generated source is yours”, “a production licence covers shipping” and “the runtime is open source” can all be true together. The terms keep each right distinct.
- Copyright ownership of generated code.
- The rights granted by the runtime’s open-source licence.
- The right to use the commercial generator.
- Redistribution rights when a product ships to others.
- Any patent licence.
BY PRODUCT AND RIGHT
What governs what.
Summary only. The licence terms govern. Until a document is published, ask us for the current terms. We welcome feedback on how the proposed model fits your intended use.
