RECORDED AUTHORING SESSION

One request.
A reviewable record.

The visible conversation and completed command actions are shown in their recorded order. The resulting application was generated, run and checked against the stated requirements.

Configured model: gpt-6.1-sol · Reasoning effort: low

1 user prompt · 1 completed CLI turn · 3 visible assistant messages · 8 command actions

A CLI turn includes the tool loop; it is not a single inference. Requirements, generic SDK notes and a local compiler helper were prepared before this session.

Actual visible messages and completed command actions, in their original order. No private reasoning, session identifiers or credentials included. Local paths and the expanded cached compiler classpath are replaced by documented placeholders. Commands are the recorded transcript, not portable installation instructions.

User request

Create and test the order-control application specified in REQUIREMENTS.md from this fresh workspace. Read SDK-NOTES.md and the supplied local-build.sh first. Author the Java input, calculation, limit and decision components, GenerateApplication and VerifyApplication. Run ./local-build.sh generate, then ./local-build.sh verify; fix any errors and preserve all verification output in evidence/. Emit a machine-readable decisions.csv with seven expected/observed rows and an audit events.yaml containing genuine configured records. Record invalid-input assertions in evidence/summary.txt. Use only cached local dependencies and the helper; no web/hosted generation, no secret access and no other project source. Do not modify requirements, SDK notes or helper. If a supplied environment defect prevents progress, report it explicitly. Include a concise final account of what you authored, each failed/successful build attempt, files emitted and limitations. Do not claim a human approved the code, do not claim timing or effort savings, and do not invent a model identity. Do not create subagents.

Assistant message

I’ll read the requirements, SDK notes and build helper, then implement and test the application using the supplied local workflow.

# Supplied Fluxtion environment

These generic integration notes and the offline build helper are prepared before the trial; they are not model-authored output. The test is authoring the application's components, graph definition and tests from REQUIREMENTS.md.

Pinned local compiler: 1.0.83. Runtime: 1.1.3. JDK: Corretto21.0.9. No hosted-generation request or compiler credentials are needed. This provisioned local compiler is an environment assumption, not a claim that local generation is available to every free-tier user.

Use package demo.authoring for handwritten code. Put a public GenerateApplication class with main(String[] args) there; args[0] is the generated output directory. Generated package must be demo.authoring.generated, class OrderProcessor. Put an executable verification main in demo.authoring.VerifyApplication; args[0] is the evidence output directory.

API patterns:
- `com.telamin.fluxtion.runtime.annotations.OnEventHandler`: public boolean handler(Event e) on an event-input component; true propagates changes.
- `com.telamin.fluxtion.runtime.annotations.OnTrigger`: public boolean callback() on a dependent component. Hold dependency components in final fields, constructor-injected.
- `com.telamin.fluxtion.runtime.node.SingleNamedNode` is an audit-enabled base class; call super("nodeName") in the constructor. Its protected auditLog supports `.info("field", value)` chaining. Inspect cached API classes with javap if needed.
- `com.telamin.fluxtion.Fluxtion.compile(application -> { application.addNode(root, "decision"); application.addEventAudit(LogLevel.INFO); }, output -> { output.setPackageName("demo.authoring.generated"); output.setClassName("OrderProcessor"); output.setSourceWriter(sourceWriter); output.setGraphmlWriter(graphWriter); output.setFormatSource(false); });`
- LogLevel is `com.telamin.fluxtion.runtime.audit.EventLogControlEvent.LogLevel`.
- Use StringWriter to collect generated Java/GraphML, then write OrderProcessor.java and OrderProcessor.graphml to args[0].
- Generated processors have init(), start(), onEvent(event), stop(), tearDown(), getNodeById(String), setClockStrategy(...). Set an explicit application clock for test events. They expose eventLogger: configure setLogSink and tracingOn(LogLevel.INFO) before init. Append a YAML `---` separator between sink records. Initial lifecycle wall-clock records can precede clock setup; disclose that.

Use ./local-build.sh generate to compile handwritten components + generator (excluding VerifyApplication.java) and generate source. Use ./local-build.sh verify to compile all handwritten files except GenerateApplication.java plus generated Java against runtime-only, then run VerifyApplication. Source discovery is recursive under src/. Results are under evidence/.

The cached compiler's raw generated notice may be restrictive and contain legacy private contact details. Preserve those raw bytes locally. Do not publish or remove notices in this trial. The supervising owner has separately approved Apache 2.0 for demo code; later integration will make only the authorized notice change and rerun tests.

Do not use network commands, hosted generation, tools outside this workspace, secrets or existing solution files. You may read the cached JARs named by local-build.sh solely to inspect public API signatures. Do not read other projects or user configuration. Do not create subagents.

# Order control requirements

Create a fresh Java order-control application using Fluxtion's generated coordination.

- Input: quantity (positive int), unit price (non-negative long integer pence), limit (non-negative long integer pence).
- Calculate value = quantity * unit price using checked arithmetic.
- Accept a valid order if value <= limit; reject it if value > limit.
- Refuse zero/negative quantity, negative price/limit and multiplication overflow before dispatch.
- Separate calculation, limit comparison and result publication into graph-connected components; retain the decision as an observable node.
- A generated processor must run independently with the runtime JAR, without the compiler on its production classpath.
- Capture genuine audit records including the order's quantity, price, value, limit and decision; use YAML document separators between records so the Analyser can open it.
- Emit generated Java and GraphML from your application definition using the supplied offline local compiler helper.
- Execute and assert at least these cases in sequence: (10,1200,10000)->REJECTED twice; (10,1200,15000)->ACCEPTED; (10,1200,12000)->ACCEPTED; (10,1200,11999)->REJECTED; (1,0,0)->ACCEPTED; (1,Long.MAX_VALUE,Long.MAX_VALUE)->ACCEPTED.
- Execute four invalid constructions: (0,1,1), (1,-1,1), (1,1,-1), (2,Long.MAX_VALUE,1). Each must be refused.
- Tests must assert explicit expected outcomes, not derive the expected answer from the implementation under test.

Write source from these requirements. No existing order-control implementation is supplied. This is an authoring demonstration, not a blind fault-finding exercise and not a claim of correctness beyond tested requirements.

Assistant message

Implemented seven Java sources: validated order input, input/calculation/limit/decision components, `GenerateApplication`, and `VerifyApplication`.

- `generate` attempt 1: passed; API-key warnings appeared, but local generation completed.
- `verify` attempt 1: passed with Java 8 obsolescence warnings. All seven decisions and four invalid constructions passed using the runtime-only classpath.
- No failed build attempts or blocking environment defects.

Emitted generated Java and GraphML under `generated/`, plus evidence:
- [decisions.csv](evidence/decisions.csv): seven expected/observed rows.
- [events.yaml](evidence/events.yaml): genuine audit records with YAML separators.
- [summary.txt](evidence/summary.txt): invalid-input assertions and clock disclosure.
- Both build logs under `evidence/`.

Requirements, SDK notes, helper and generated notices remain unchanged. Verification covers the specified cases; initial audit records use wall-clock time before the application clock is configured.
